The six-man shortlist for this season’s PFA Player of the Year award has been announced and Virgil Van Dijk and Raheem Sterling are considered the frontrunners for the prize.

While former Liverpool attacker Sterling has had a stellar campaign with Manchester City, Reds centre-back Van Dijk has been a colossus.
